annabel lee
I recently listened to Ben Whishaw’s reading of the poem ‘Annabel Lee’ by Edgar Allan Poe and was inspired by one of the verses. My celestial, seraph-inspired moodboard:
Seraph. n. pl. ser·a·phim (-ə-fĭm) or ser·aphs
An angelic being, regarded in traditional Christianity angelology as belonging to the highest order of the ninefold celestial hierarchy, associated with light, ardour and purity.
But we loved with a love that was more than love
I and my Annabel Lee
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.
